Part II is considered the next-best Halloween movie... and I thought it was really quite bad. It doubled down on the violence but wasn't as well-made as the first film. Not a movie I would recommend to anyone or ever watch again.

They recast Young Michael because the original actor had grown too much. It would be jarring. They had to recast there.

Yes, it's bloodier than H1 overall, I even said that in my original post, but it's marginally bloodier than the original film. The kills in H1 take longer too, there's struggling going on. The hot tub kill in 2 is the only thing that matches the rawness of the original film's kills.
